Road construction works

Tender description

The proposed works include; — construction of approximately 2 200 m of Dual Carriageway with 2 x 3,65 m carriageway, 1 x 2.5 hard shoulder, footways, cycleways and verges on embankment up to 4 m high and cuttings to 1,5 m deep, — construction of 2 No reinforced concrete bridges over railways, etc., — Project supervisor construction stage (PSCS) duties. These works will be carried out in 2 phases as per phasing within the works requirements. The proposed works include: — construction of approximately 2 200 m of Dual Carriageway with 2 x 3,65 m carriageway, 1 x 2.5 hard shoulder, footways, cycleways and verges on embankment up to 4 m high and cuttings to 1,5 m deep, — construction of 2 No reinforced concrete bridges over railways, — culverts, — traffic management, — site clearance and fencing, — boundary fencing and reinforced concrete retaining walls, — carriageway drainage, — embankments on soft ground requiring excavation of made ground, soft alluvial soils and peat, — road pavements, — kerbing, footways/cycleway construction, — traffic signs and roadmarkings, — traffic signals, — road lighting, — diversion of utilities including gas, potable water, storm and foul drains, telecommunications and electricity, — provision of foul drainage on the Cratloe road and along the Distributor road, — Project supervisor construction stage (PSCS) duties. These works will be carried out in 2 phases as per phasing within the works requirements.
