Four Squares Inner Room Alterations

Tender description

Southwark Council requires consultancy services for up-coming internal works to properties at The Four Squares Estate situated on Southwark Park Rd,SE1. The blocks affected are on New Place, Marden, Layard and Lockwood Square. These properties need re-configuring as they currently contain a room within a room or inner room scenario that do not have a secondary means of escape in the event of a fire. Two viable options of reconfiguration have been identified and costed: 1. The extension of the hallway (protected lobby) into the lounge 2. The removal of part of the cupboard adjacent to the bedroom, dependent on whether there are any electrical or plumbing services present that may restrict the utilisation of the cupboard space.
