Bridge Maintenance & Masonry Repairs 2019-2021

Tender description

The work will comprise of the general repair and refurbishment to existing bridges, bridge parapets, retaining walls, traffic signal mast arms, gantries and other highway structures on a labour, plant and materials basis. The work will take place at various locations within the Leeds Metropolitan District and may extend across the other West Yorkshire districts of Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Wakefield and York. The Contractor will be required from time to time to commence work of an urgent nature, sometimes outside normal working hours, on receipt of a verbal instruction from the Engineer's Representative. The Contractor shall where practicable commence work within two hours of issue of such an instruction to do so.
