Places for people are seeking tenders from contractors for the Major Works Investment Programmes and Cyclical Decorations Investment Programme from April 2019. This tender is on behalf of Places for People Group and includes programmes for the register providers within Places for People including Places for People Homes, Places for People Living+, Cotman Housing Association, Derwent Living and Luminus. Major Works Investment programme for Places for People companies with northern stock. The programme is spread across a diverse stock and spend is typically invested into 4 different work streams: — maintaining decency (internal and external elemental replacement when failing on age and on condition of the element), — reinvestment (may include above works, whole block, scheme or estate investment where internal funding is obtained), — externally funded (or part funded) investment (including upgrading insulation, heating solutions or renewable technologies), — block or other external elemental improvements as a consequence of undertaking the above (this may include painting (and pre-paint repairs), work to walls or eaves where scaffold for other elements make sense for it to be utilised, communal mechanical and electrical systems and environmental works).
