Public Health England has an extensive IT infrastructure based on open source technologies currently using the Red Hat operating system, this includes: — Red Hat Enterprise Linux, — Red Hat CEPH, — Red Hat gluster, — Red Hat virtualisation, — Red Hat openshift container platform. PHE needs to consolidate the existing high performance computing arrays in different locations in PHE's estates into one support agreement co-termed for 31.3.2021 based on Red Hat Linux and open source technologies. PHE require that the supplier must have the capability and experience of providing expert front-line support services across PHE's complex multi-vendor high performance, and research computing environment. OCF appear to be the UK's only Red Hat certified premier business partner for cloud infrastructure. In addition to supplying the Red Hat support subscriptions renewals, PHE is requires a Red Hat specialist to partner us that has the experience to offer expert front-line support services across PHE’s complex multi-vendor high performance and research computing environment. PHE has chosen OCF Ltd for this roll as they have 15 years of experience of deploying large scale HPC projects, they are ISO9001 accredited along with having SC and DV cleared technical staff. They have provided PHE with evidence of their experience in: — Linux, — CEPH, — GlusterFS, — oVirt, KVM, Libvirt, open vSwitch, — openstack, — Kubernetes, openshift container platform, — ManageIQ, cloudforms, — Ansible, — Lenovo hardware, — Mellanox Networking (InfiniBand and 100Gb Ethernet), — NVIDIA GPU technologies, — Lustre parallel file-system, — Slurm HPC job scheduler, — xCAT provisioning system and HPC cluster manager, — iRODS data cataloguing and archiving system, — Robinhood filesystem policy engine.
