Tender description

The City of York Council (CYC) is seeking a supplier of high quality meats for two Council operated sites; Haxby Hall Care Home, The Glen Short Breaks Centre. The Supplier must be able to provide a variety of products to suit different tastes, avoid menu fatigue and respond to changes in food trends. The primary meats required will be Beef, Lamb, Pork, Chicken, Gammon and Turkey. The Supplier must also be able to provide Halal and Kosher products where required. Each site will require a delivery twice per week and the Supplier must have the ability to correctly store and transport meat with all products in safe, secure, clearly labelled packaging. The Supplier must have appropriate procedures in place to ensure the identification and traceability of all ingredients, products and services at any stage of processing and production.
