Alpha Housing owns and manages general needs, sheltered and supported housing schemes in Northern Ireland. Its mission is to create strong and sustainable communities where people flourish and it is committed to making a positive difference to peoples' lives. The quality of services that Alpha Housing provides is therefor of paramount importance in ensuring customer satisfaction with the services it offers. Alpha Housing is therefore seeking to establish a qualified and competent contractor to deliver a range of services relating to building safety and security. This comprises of maintenance and installation of fire alarm systems, fire equipment, emergency lighting, door access systems, security equipment and automatic doors. Alpha Housing will shortly be undertaking a below-threshold a tender exercise. It is Alpha's intention, following conclusion of that tender exercise, to award a 3 year contract (anticipated to commence on 1.4.2020) with the ability for Alpha Housing, acting at its discretion, to extend the contract on 2 further occasions (for 12 months each time). The estimated value provided above therefore reflects the full potential 5 year contract duration. In advance of this, Alpha Housing wishes to invite interested contractors to a pre-market engagement event to be held at Alpha House on 24.9.2019 at 10.00 a.m. This event will last a maximum of 2 hours and will provide contractors with an overview of the opportunity, indicative timescales, Alpha Housing's expectations for the market engagement exercise and priorities for the tender process. Contractors will not be prejudiced by any response/failure to respond to this notice or any market engagement document or to attend the pre-market engagement event. Information made available at the pre-market engagement event will be made available to all contractors who subsequently express an interest in any resulting tender exercise. Alpha Housing welcomes interest from all suitable potential contractors. However, potential contractors are reminded that they must ultimately satisfy the minimum requirements of the selection criteria set out in the tender documents released at the pre-qualification stage of the tender process in order to be selected to proceed to the tender stage. Following the pre-market engagement event, it is anticipated that Alpha Housing may invite interested contractors to complete a questionnaire in relation to the forthcoming tender exercise. Alpha Housing cannot however guarantee it will incorporate all or any feedback received into any subsequent tender exercise.
