HS2 Ltd is hosting a pre-procurement Industry Day on 8.10.2019 to re-engage and support the development of its revised Phase 2a procurement and delivery strategy. The objectives of the day are: — for HS2 Ltd to present its updated proposals in relation to the Phase 2a civils works packages, — to raise market awareness of the potential opportunities associated with its forthcoming procurement activities, and — to receive feedback on the proposals presented. Parties that wish to register their interest in participating in a pre-procurement market engagement exercise must complete their registration through the following link: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/Phase2aIndustryDay/ The deadline for registrations is on 12 p.m. (noon) on the later date of either: — 27.9.2019, or — 7 (seven) calendar days starting from the day that this notice appears in the official journal. Please refer to the important notices in Section VI.3). The scope of the Phase 2a civils works packages includes viaducts, tunnels, mass earthworks, bridges and other associated structures over the entire route of Phase 2a, the total estimated elements/quantities are: — bored tunnel 2,5 km, — viaducts: 7 km, — embankments: 19 000 000 cubic meters (m3), — cuttings: 20 000 000 m3, — structures, overbridge and underbridges: 42 number, — 1 number combined infrastructure maintenance depot/railhead. The Industry Day will cover the packaging options, commercial approach and other salient aspects of the procurement and delivery route under consideration, that will be tested as part of the pre-market engagement exercise with economic operators that participate in the process. This is currently proposed to be packaged across 7 (seven) civils works contracts with differing procurement routes and commercial terms being anticipated between each of the packages.
