Tender description
Bristol City Council’s Housing and Landlord Services department are responsible for 147 lifts. The lifts serve residents across 101 different sites Our Boundaries cover from Avonmouth, across to Fishponds/Kingswood and down to Hartcliffe and Bishopsworth. The Council wishes to appoint providers to a framework agreement for refurbishment and modernisation of lifts within its Housing stock across Bristol. The first call-off will be a project at Duckmoore Road Ashton Bristol. Duckmoor Road contains 3 highrise blocks of flats, these are Southbow House, Whitemead House (BS3 2ER) and Winterstoke House. They are ten storey high residential blocks in Ashton, Bristol. There are 2 lifts within each of the blocks. Each lift, 6 in total require refurbishment and modernisation. The contract is to carry out a complete refurbishment of each of the lifts at Southbow House Whitemead House and Winterstoke House. The refurbishment will include: — the supply of motors and control equipment, — full maintenance of the lifts whilst work is taking place and a 12 months after completion of work, — emergency call out whilst work is taking place and for 12 months after completion of works. Please refer to appendix 3 specification for further detail. The estimated value of this call-off contract is 1 100 000 GBP. We anticipate the length of the Duckmoor Road contract to be approximately 12 months.
