Haringey Council is responsible for the enforcement of parking legislation within the London Borough of Haringey in accordance with statutory provisions such as the Traffic Management Act 2004 and traffic management orders as well as Council policies, the Department for Transport Code of Practice, Government guidance and the terms of the Civil enforcement area (CEA) agreed between the Council and the Department for Transport. One of objectives of the Council's Parking Service is to keep traffic moving and reduce congestion. To achieve this, the Council operates a removal policy for vehicles which are contravening parking regulations and are found to be causing an obstruction to other legitimate road users. The purpose of this contract is to procure the supply of facilities for the removal, storage, restoration and disposal of all nuisance vehicles in the London Borough of Haringey. The purpose of this contract is to procure the supply of facilities for the removal, storage, restoration and disposal of all Nuisance Vehicles in the London Borough of Haringey. This will include pound management, staff provision for all aspects of the operation and the cashiering operation. Routine removal operations shall be carried out by the contractor on any day of the week, Monday to Sunday to ensure coverage of football games and any special events. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring all relevant legislative standards/requirements are met.
