Tender description

The construction of a minimum of 16, 258 m2 (175 000 sqft) of commercial development on land at Plot 6, Interlink Way South, Bardon, Leicestershire, LE67 1PG and the securing of a suitable tenant end user(s). The County Council is seeking the development of 3,59 HA (8.86 acres) of land known as Plot 6, Interlink WaySouth, Bardon for commercial purposes. A minimum of 16 258 m2 (175 000 sqft) of built development is required.The successful tenderer will develop the scheme with an end user(s) in place who will enter into an agreement for lease and lease arrangement. The site is located within an established industrial park setting and is one of the last undeveloped plots in the locality. The successful tenderer will be expected to sign a development agreement binding the them to undertake all elements of the design, planning and construction of a suitable commercial development including the procuring of all appropriate surveys required to support a planning application, securing appropriate planning permission, (the planning application will be a joint Regulation 3 application made by both the Developer and Leicestershire County Council and submitted directly to Leicestershire County Council Planning Department) all infrastructure works, utility connections, marketing and identifying a suitable end user tenant(s) with good covenant, appropriate on site car parking and landscaping. All works are to be undertaken in accordance with the grant of planning consent, meeting all Building Regulation requirements and statutory compliance. The successful tenderer may wish to undertake the works themselves or sub-contract all or some elements of the works to specialist building contractors. It is anticipated that the development will be conditional upon the end user(s) signing an agreement for lease.
