Ennis Community College - Three Science Labs - Furniture Upgrade Project

Tender description

The scope of the project involves upgrade of the three existing Science Laboratory classrooms and preparation room at Ennis Community College to replace all existing furniture with modern proprietary furniture systems in accordance with the current Department of Education TGD requirements. The scope of work for the Three Science Labs Furniture Upgrade Emergency Works Project includes as follows:- a) Isolation, disconnection, strip out and disposal of all existing redundant furniture and associated services b) Salvage of recently installed new gas outlets from existing furniture for re-use c) Supply and installation of new laboratory furniture in accordance with the proposed furniture layouts and Department of Education and Skills current TGDs d) Alteration / upgrade of existing mechanical services pipework to suit the new furniture layouts including gas, water, wastes and drainage pipework. Note existing gas outlets to be salvaged and re-installed on the new furniture. e) Alteration / upgrade of the existing electrical services to suit the new furniture layouts f) All associated builders works, opening up floors, making good and re-decoration to match existing finishes including laying new flooring throughout and full painting of all science lab classrooms. g) Maintenance of the new installations for the defects liability period (12 months) This contract was awarded to Fahey O' Riordan & Morcon Mechanical
