Tender description

The purpose of this notice is to advise of the intention to novate contracts from Dixons Contractors Ltd and currently held by NIHE to P.K. Murphy Construction Ltd following an insolvency event. Contracts are due to novate no sooner than 10 days after the publication of this notice. There is one framework with 10 contracts affected by the novation process. The framework was subject to OJEU competition in the past and awarded to Dixons Contractors Ltd. Following Dixons Contractors Ltd entering insolvency on 30.5.2019, NIHE has been liaising with Ernst and Young who were appointed as administrators. The works required under the Framework Agreement will be construction related works substantially in relation to the following types of planned maintenance and improvement schemes: — external cyclical maintenance, — in shell kitchen replacements, — miscellaneous internal alterations (including bathrooms), — single element maintenance or improvement schemes (including kitchen extensions), — electrical rewiring, — decanting. During the term of the Framework Agreement, additional construction related works may also be required in relation to other domestic scale work required by the Contracting Authority, including, without limitation, in relation to the following schemes: — multi-element improvement schemes, — environmental improvement schemes, — office accommodation improvement schemes (the ‘Additional Works’).
