Transport services (excl. Waste transport)

Tender description

WBC procure passenger transport to and from various establishments (e.g. schools, colleges, respite care, day care, short stay establishments) within and outside the Wokingham Borough for mainstream, SEN pupils and adults. Transport services will require different vehicle types plus drivers and possibly passenger assistants. It is the Councils intention to establish a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the future provision of transport services. The DPS is anticipated to be open in September 2019 and will run for 10 years, during which time new applicants can apply to join. This is a new approach to how we currently procure, therefore the Council will hold supplier information days at the Council Offices, dates below, to explain what is a DPS, how it works, registration process, how to apply, expected timetable, etc. 19.7.2019 10.00-13.00. 7.8.2019 10:00-13:00.
