Stoke-on-Trent City Council provides local schools with a pupil swimming and gymnastics centre service. Part of that service is the provision of transport to and from each school to the relevant swimming pool facility. Most schools choose this option to allow them to access swimming lessons. The City Council offers its swimming and gymnastics centre service to all local schools. The service includes provision of a swimming pool/gym centre facility, instructor, certificates and the option of transport between school and the facility. We are seeking a coach operator to provide the complete transport schedule. We require a single operator as the schedule can be intense and a different vehicle from that used for the outward trip may be required for the return trip. Conversely, the same vehicle may be utilised to take different schools to differing pool facilities, hence the opportunity for efficiency is maximised with a single operator.
