Tender description

Leicester City Council (the Authority) invites quotations for the provision of landscaping works at Aylestone Meadows, Leicester, LE2 8DZ. The first phase of works will include the excavation of four areas in close proximity to Pebble Beach, to form ephemeral wetland scrapes which will increase the flood storage capacity of the site and enhance the habitat for wildlife. The spoil removed to create the wetland scrapes will be used to regrade part of the meadow in carefully selected areas, creating habitat mounds and further biodiversity enhancements. Some vegetation management will be undertaken to existing trees near Pebble Beach.
