The University of Worcester is looking to retender its coach hire contract. The contract will commence on 1.6.2019 and will last for 3 years with the option to extend for a further 12 months. This contract will cover all the University's requirements which include ad-hoc bookings for academic schools, coaches for graduation ceremonies and coaches for University open days. The University is particularly interested in hearing from companies who can provide wheelchair accessible coaches. Every year the University of Worcester holds graduation ceremonies at Worcester Cathedral for students who have successfully completed their degree courses (known as graduands). Coaches are required to transport the students and their guests, as well as University staff and VIPs, from the University of Worcester Arena to the cathedral before the ceremonies and back to the Arena afterwards. It is envisaged that this lot will be awarded to one supplier but the University reserves the right to split the requirement between 2 or more suppliers if appropriate. Graduation ceremonies currently take place in October/November. University of Worcester is looking to establish a framework of one supplier to provide a highly professional and customer service focussed executive coach hire service. The main requirement under this lot will be a shuttle service for University open days and applicant days but may also be required for other high profile events and for use by the University Executive team. University of Worcester is looking to establish a Framework Agreement to provide general coach hire services to the University. These requirements will be ad-hoc in nature and are likely to cover all sizes of minibus and coaches and will be required for local, national and international travel. The University is looking to appoint 3 suppliers to this framework.
