Tender description

The Framework Agreement will comprise the following service areas: (a) preparation and painting of electrical equipment, to include: — 275/110Kv transformers, — 110/33kV transformers, — 275/110kV circuit breakers (40 of these are aluminium), — liquid neutral earthing reactors, — 33/11kV transformers, — 33kV circuit breakers, — distribution transformers, — extension oil switches, — fuse switches, — ring main units, — MV steel cabinets, — kiosk shells. (b) preparation and painting on non-electrical equipment, to include: — wooden doors, — metal kiosks, — fencing, — substation shells. (c) Removal of graffiti. The contractor shall comply fully with the requirements for contractors NIE HSG-007 Issue 3 issued with this tender package. non-compliance may result in the contract manager instructing the contractor to leave the site. All persons working on site must have completed an appropriate course of training on the application of the NIE Safety Rules. They must be assessed and deemed competent to hold an appropriate Nomination/Authorisation to work in a substation on or in the vicinity of electrical equipment under NIE Safety Rules.
