Tender description

North Tyneside Council has set up a dynamic purchasing system (DPS) for the supply and installation of aids and adaptations under the following lots: Lot 1: Bathing; Lot 2: Permanent Ramps; Lot 3: Semi-Permanent Ramps; Lot 4: Internal Alterations; Lot 5: Door Operating Devices; Lot 6: Specialist Materials; Lot 7: Servicing and Maintenance of Self-Cleaning Toilets. The DPS will be open to new suppliers for the duration of the opportunity. New suppliers wishing to express an interest in the opportunity must do so via the ProContract electric tendering portal: https://procontract.due-north.com Once you have registered your interest the documentation is available to download immediately or by re-accessing the portal. Unregistered suppliers will be re-directed to the registration page on the Portal where they will be able to access it after receiving their login and password. North Tyneside Council has set up a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the supply and installation of aids and adaptations under the following lots: Lot 1: Bathing; Lot 2: Permanent Ramps; Lot 3: Semi-Permanent Ramps; Lot 4: Internal Alterations; Lot 5: Door Operating Devices; Lot 6: Specialist Materials; Lot 7: Servicing and Maintenance of Self-Cleaning Toilets. The Authority funds and manages the provision of a range of adaptations for customers following an assessment of need carried out by an occupational therapist. Referrals are forwarded to the Adaptations and Loan Equipment Service (ALES) which is based at The Tyne Tunnel trading Estate, North Shields. ALES administer and manage the provision in accordance with the Authority’s Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) Home Adaptation and Relocation Assistance Policy. It should be noted that some or all of the DPS lots may also be utilised on other properties that are not funded via the DFG programme. Contractors shall provide the required resources to carryout a range of adaptations in occupied dwellings in accordance with the Authority’s specifications, drawings and contract instructions. It is not a requirement that the contractor provide the full range of adaptations.
