South Campshires Flood Defence Scheme - Supply and Installation of Granite Cladding and Granite Copings

Tender description

The proposed development consists of a new flood protection system, approximately 1.0km in length, located on the Southern Campshires of the River Liffey. The flood protection will extend from Butt Bridge to 50m east of the Samuel Beckett Bridge and returns across Sir John Rogerson's Quay just east of the pedestrian road crossing at Cardiff Lane. The protection system consists of a new precast concrete wall supplied & constructed by others. The current works contract is for the supply and installation of granite cladding inserts and granite coping stones to the existing precast concrete flood walls extending from the Southern end of the Matt Talbott Bridge on City Quay to approximately 80m East of Cardiff Lane on Sir John Rogerson’s Quay. The successful tenderer will be responsible for site enabling works, site preparation and site management, and they will carry out the role of PSCS. Pedestrian traffic along the quays is to be maintained at all times during the works.
