Tender description
This is a 2 stage procurement process and you will only be invited to tender if you have been successful at the Selection Questionnaire (SQ) stage. If you wish to be considered you must complete and submit a completed SQ by the closing date and time submissions cannot be uploaded after the closing date/time. Suppliers wishing to take part in this project are invited to “express interest” which will give access to the full procurement documents in the e-tendering system. To be considered as a bidder you must complete and submit a bid by the deadline of 12:00 noon on 17.6.2019 Any questions relating to this procurement must be made via correspondence on the website, in accordance with the procurement documents and can be addressed to the main contact as shown in the details above. Please allow sufficient time to make your return as late returns will not be permitted by the system. This tender opportunity is for the construction of a 77 bed care/nursing home and associated works to BREEAM Excellent standard and to BIM Level 2 under a JCT Design and Build 2016 as amended contract. The home will be dementia friendly throughout. Demonstration of previous experience in collaborating with a care provider to deliver specialist care home is essential. Site access, logistics and neighbour relations are all relevant factors, with the S278 Works being necessary to undertake before starting the main construction works. It is expected that the contract duration will be in the region of 72 — 80 weeks and it is expected that for a great deal of this time the adjacent housing site will also be under construction, so collaboration between contractors will be essential. This procurement is not being divided into lots because the Council requires a single contractor to deliver this project. Economic operators should be aware that due to the nature of the works provided, any contract formed as a result of this procurement process shall be executed as a deed. Economic operators should seek independent legal advice on the implications of this prior to submitting a tender, where appropriate.
