Blackwater Bridge Replacement & associated accommodation works

Tender description

Blackwater Bridge Replacement Contract comprises the demolition of the existing Blackwater Bridge which carries the N2 over the Blackwater River just North of Monaghan town and the construction of a new three span reinforced concrete structure at the same location. Associated works include the realignment of approximately 300m of the N2, 150m on either side of the new bridge. To facilitate traffic movements on the N2 during the construction period, a temporary diversion of the N2, including a temporary bridge crossing of the River Blackwater, will be required. Associated works include road drainage, street lighting and road markings and signage. Substantial temporary and permanent accommodation works are also required to be undertaken in third party lands, namely St Macartan's College and LacPatrick Creamery.
