Manchester Central is currently looking for a contractor to undertake works to future proof the integrity of the Central Hall roof 2/4. The contractor will be required to maintain the glazed roof lights/lanterns of the roof by applying protective coatings of the Girosil product. Manchester Central will only accept contractors who are approved contractors by Giromax and are competent to conduct roof works with IRATA Rope access, please see Section C. The roof consists of 14 bays and glazed roof lights/lanterns, each containing 194 glazed panes, approximate sizes per pane of glazing 1800 mm X 800 mm. The contractor will be required to maintain the glazed roof lights/lanterns of the roof by applying protective coatings of the Girosil product. Manchester Central will only accept contractors who are approved contractors by Giromax and are competent to conduct roof works with IRATA Rope access, please see Section C. The roof consists of 14 bays and glazed roof lights/lanterns, each containing 194 glazed panes, approximate sizes per pane of glazing 1800 mm X 800 mm. Manchester Central has already undertaken a trial of work to coat 1 row of glazed roof lights and so the works required under this contract are for the remaining 13. The works are to be conducted during spring — autumn, due to the reliance on weather conditions. The last date to express an interest for the contract will be 22.3.2019. Invitations to Tender (ITT)’s will be available once you have expressed an interest via pro contract. Site visits are mandatory and will take place between 25.3.2019 – 5.4.2019. The closing date for receipt of completed documentation will be 23.4.2019. It is anticipated for the contract to be awarded by May 2019.
