UCC, Procurement of Works Contractor for Refurbishment of Student Accommodation Facility at Victoria Mills 2019 for CAUD

UCC hereby issues this information in accordance with the requirements of EC directive 2004/18/EC (restricted procedure) for applicants and is inviting expressions of interest from Works Contractors as the first stage of a two stage process under the restricted procedure. The proposed scope of work at Victoria Mills will comprise work to 35 apartments in Blocks B, D & E including 170 bedrooms, 170 bathrooms and 35 kitchens / living space as well as common circulation space. The proposed scope of work will also include external works namely; cleaning of the external façade, fixing and replacing paving on the designated roof walkways. The proposed works comprise the following • Refurbishment and upgrade of existing Kitchen & Living space units 35 No. • Refurbishment and upgrade of existing Bedrooms units 170 No. • Refurbishment and upgrade of Internal Circulation areas within apartments 35 No. • En-suites – replacement of floor tiling to include skirting and substrate as required following inspection 170 No. • New white goods to Kitchens. • Decoration to Kitchens / Living Space, Bedrooms Hallway Walls & Ceilings, En-suite ceilings • Adjustments to doors to facilitate new floor finish including new door saddles. • Install energy efficient light fittings • Replace storage heaters in apartments with energy efficient heaters. • Other Ancillary mechanical & electrical works ( see EDC Doc. M&E Refurbishment Proposals) • New Furniture to Bedrooms • Refurbishment of Common Areas and Stairwells including decoration • It is noted that other works may be deemed necessary follow on from detailed inspections by Architects and M&E Consultants • External works to include cleaning of the external façade, fixing and replacing paving on the roof walkways UCC is managing this PQQ for the appointment of Contractors on behalf of UCC subsidiary company Campus Accommodation DAC; Campus Accommodation UCC designated activity company (CAUD).
