Tender description

Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers to apply to join the DPS for the provision of passenger transport services. The DPS has been split into 5 Lots: Lot 1: Bus and Coach: Individual Routes/Bus Services (Public, Education and Social Care Transport); Lot 2: Minibus: Individual Routes (Public and Education Transport); Lot 3: Taxi: Individual Routes (Public and Education Transport); Lot 4: Minibus Social Care and Community Transport: Consist of Dial a Ride and Shopping Service, Day Centre and Ad-hoc Transport Requirements; Lot 5: Taxi Social Care Transport: Complete Package of all Routes and Service Needs. The estimated initial term value of the DPS framework is 11 643 300 GBP and the potential overall total including the extension period is 23 526 300 GBP. Initial 6-year term budget value is 167 200 GBP with the option to extend for a further 6 years. The total budget value over 12 years is 334 400 GBP. Lot 2: Minibus — Individual Routes (Public and Education Transport) and Covers: — education both mainstream and special needs home to school transport, — public transport Initial 6- year term budget value is 4 254 400 GBP with the option to extend for a further 6 years. The total budget value over 12 years is 8 508 800 GBP. Lot 3: Taxi — Individual Routes (Public and Education Transport) and Covers: — education both mainstream and special needs home to school transport, — public transport. Initial 6-year term budget value is 4 627 800 GBP with the option to extend for a further 6 years. The total budget value over 12 years is 9 015 900 GBP. Lot 4: Minibus Social Care and Community Transport — This will Consist of Dial a Ride and Shopping Service, Day Centre and Ad-hoc Transport Requirements: — social care transport day centre and ad-hoc transport arrangements, — community transport including dial a ride and community shopping services. Initial 6-year term budget value is 1 085 200 GBP with the option to extend for a further 6 years. The total budget value over 12 years is 2 170 400 GBP. Lot 5: Taxi Social Care Transport — Complete Package of all Routes and Service Needs — social care transport. Initial 6-year term budget value is 1 748 400 GBP with the option to extend for a further 6 years. The total budget value over 12 years is 3 496 800 GBP.
