The proposal is for the construction of 73 houses for affordable rent using the Modularwise volumetric off-site product. The scheme will comply with current Homes England standards and design and consists of 73 new homes comprising: — 16 x 2 bed 4 person houses @ 76 m2, — 42 x 3 bed 5 person house @ 86 m2, — 2 x 2 bed 3 person bungalow @ 64 m2, — 13 x 4 bed 6 person house @ 101 m2. The development will incorporate modern methods of construction with the use of volumetric build via Modularwise. This project will pilot the use of the Modularwise product for affordable rented housing and the house types have been developed with repeated use in mind. The designs have been developed to ensure cost efficiencies in manufacturing and finishing by incorporating integrated roof systems. This will provide a high quality solution to this cleared site. The scheme will provide a strong street scene of 2 storey housing which sweeps around this Island site.
