Invitation to submit a Pre-qualification Questionnaire for Main Building Contractor for Ely Museum's Unlocking the Potential of the Old Gaol Project

Following Ely Museum CIO being awarded a Second Round National Lottery Heritage Fund grant, the Museum are seeking to appoint a Building Contractor via a restrictive traditional procurement route. In summary, the scheme includes the internal structural remodelling/ repairs/ refurbishment of the Listed Old Gaol building and existing single storey extension together with the alteration works to the single storey extension to form a two storey structure that will incorporate a new passenger lift to provide access to the upper floor the Old Gaol. Existing services throughout the building will be replaced with new installations. The Exhibition Fit-out contract to the gallery spaces will be a separate contract and will take place following the completion of the construction contract. It is intended to use a JCT Standard Intermediate Building Contract 2016
