Tender description

The works involve the restoration and development of the historic Grand Opera House in Belfast including but not limited to the refurbishment of the Shakespeare Room, upgrading of the auditorium and its technical facilities, improvements to visitor flow and accessibility, improvements to heating and cooling together with new interpretive design works. The purpose of the procurement is to procure a suitably experienced main building contractor to carry out the refurbishment and redevelopment works which involves a spend of approx 7 500 000 GBP excluding VAT in a 9 month window between the end of January 2019 and October 2019 (subject to change at the Contracting Authorities discretion).
