Tender description

The project involves modification to the existing concrete channel and earth bank slopes, and creation of flood plain habitat through re-meandering, modification of cross sections and creating a more natural planform. These works will include the following key tasks: - Excavation and filling of land area; - Demolish of reinforced concrete channel; - Formation of a new stream channel (course and cross section) - Creation of flood meadows and an amenity area; - Improvements to an existing Severn Trent Water attenuation feature; - Mown paths; - Seeding grass and wildflower mixes and tree planting Part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund Keywords: excavation, attenuation, flood meadow
