The University of Hull (hereafter referred to as the University) is seeking to procur a contractor to construct the Aura Innovation Centre (AIC), a specialist facility supporting low carbon innovation, which comprises high tech engineering innovation workshop and computing facilities together with conferencing and office space circa 2 534 m² gross internal floor area, on land located at the Humber Bridge Head. The planned constuction will be on a design and build basis,meeting performance criteria, with estimated construction costs of 6 000 000 GBP. The University is in the process of seeking 4 000 000 GBP of funding for the AIC project from the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020. The department for communities and local government (and in London the intermediate body Greater London Authority) is the managing authority for European Regional Development Fund.
