Cambridge City Council - Rapid & Fast Charge Points For EV Taxis (Call off from ESPO Framework 636 lots 1 and 3)

Funding has been secured from the City Council Capital Program; Greater Cambridge Partnership (City Deal); and the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) for the installation of a substantial network of 18 No. ‘Rapid’ and 3 No. ‘Fast’ electric vehicle charging units across the Greater Cambridge Geography. Extensive consultation with the taxi trade and stakeholders has been undertaken as part of feasibility study funded by OLEV which outlined the necessary charging network required, the potential location of infrastructure and formed part of the bid to OLEV for the capital funding. OLEV has stipulated that the network be installed over a maximum 3 year period.
