Tender for B0104 Baildon Bridge -Scour Countermeasures, Concrete Repairs and Maintenance Works

Tender description

It is proposed to undertake scour countermeasures on the structure on the river bed and around the abutments as necessary over the extent of the bridge. This will involve using a combination of a constant thickness concrete filled mattress, rock riprap and concrete filled bags and with cut and Type 1A infill to bring the bed to the desired level over the full extent of the structure and a minimum of 5m beyond the bridge upstream and downstream. Concrete repairs and minor masonry wall repairs will also be carried out under the bridge whilst the bridge is dewatered. Other minor maintenance works to the structure such a repairing of masonry training walls will also be carried out.
