Tender description

The Authority is seeking to establish 2 long term contracts to provide Facilities Management (FM) services to the Authority's corporate property asset portfolio. The contract will be awarded in 2 lots: Lot 1: Building Fabric Repairs and Maintenance; Lot 2: Mechanical and Electrical Servicing, Repairs and Maintenance. Contracts will be awarded for an initial term of 5 years with an option to extend up to a maximum duration of 8 years. As set out at I.2, the Authority is acting as a central purchasing body on behalf of education establishments within the Royal Borough of Greenwich and as listed here: https://www.royalgreenwich.gov.uk/directories/200280/education_schools_and_nurseries The Contract involves the following: 1) Responsive repairs to external fabric (walls, roofs, windows and doors) of buildings to arrest building degradation and damage and to maintain the building in a weathertight and safe condition; 2) Responsive repairs and maintenance to external areas of the corporate property assets such as paving, paths, steps, fencing, walls and other hard landscaping; 3) Responsive repairs and maintenance to internal fabric to maintain the building in good serviceable operation. The contract will be a long term contract for 5 years with an option to extend up to a maximum of 8 years. Works/services to be undertaken to a range of property types including, but not limited to: schools, libraries, leisure centres, community buildings, offices, depots, industrial and retail units. The contract involves the planned servicing and maintenance of: 1) gas fired boiler plant; 2) water pumps; 3) heating and cooling systems; 4) mechanical extract fans; 5) door entryphone systems and access controls; 6) fire alarm and fire detection systems; 7) security systems; 8) emergency lighting installations; 9) responsive repairs to all mechanical plant in the event of failure; 10) responsive repairs to all electrical systems in the event of failure. The contract will be a long term contract for 5 years with an option to extend up to a maximum of 8 years. Works/services to be undertaken to a range of property types including, but not limited to: schools, libraries, leisure centres, community buildings, offices, depots, industrial and retail units.
