Tender description

Design and build works at 7 existing London Underground Stations to provide customers step free access between street and train. Work comprise the design and installation of lift shafts and associated works, such as improved lighting, additional places of refuge/escape, adapting the communications systems and adding additional CCTV/speakers. LUL have a programme to make the railway more accessible for all. These works are part of this programme and involves tendering a contract for the D&B of works to provide step free access into seven existing London Underground stations outside the central London area. The works involve the design and installation of new lift shafts (and link bridges where required) with associated civil, premises, additional lighting, communication and mechanical works. The Lifts themselves are being procured via a separate contract.
