Tender description

The development to which this Notice relates is a comprehensive residentially-led, mixed-use scheme comprising of a target of 1550 homes including 45,000 sq. ft. of commercial space within the body of the scheme with 35 % affordable housing. Peabody Land Limited (“PLL”) owns (or will own) the freehold of the site known as West Thamesmead Gateway. PLL will award a lease of the site and an agreement to develop to The Berkeley Group Holdings PLC, or to a company within the same group as The Berkeley Group Holdings PLC (“TBGH”). Pursuant to the terms of these agreements TBGH will carry out the development on the site. The private residential units constructed as part of the development will be disposed of by TBGH on the open market. The affordable units will be disposed to Peabody Trust (PLL’s parent company), or to another registered provider within its group. Peabody Land Limited will enter into this contract following a minimum 10 day calendar day standstill period starting on the day after this notice is published in the Official Journal of the European Union. The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (SI 2015 No 102) (as amended) (the Regulations) provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or who are at risk of harm by a breach of the Regulations to bring proceedings in the High Court. Any such proceedings must be brought within the limitation period specified by the Regulations according to the remedy sought.
