Construction work for multi-dwelling buildings and individual houses

The Council is therefore looking for a high quality design and build contractor to undertake the next stage of regeneration at Ockford Ridge which will be the development of 37 new-build, affordable living units. The development, which comprises a mixture of 1 bedroomed flats and 2, 3 and 4 bedroomed houses along with associated parking and landscaping, will have a value of around 7 000 000 GBP. The tender will be ran in 2 stages, the selection stage will go live in June 2018 using the standard PAS 91:2013+A1:2017 selection questionnaire to pre-qualify suitably experienced contractors, following which 5-7 Contractors will be invited to tender stage, to go live in August 2018 with a view to the works commencing in January 2019. All dates are subject to change. Tenders will be welcomed for both traditional and alternative methods of housing construction. Waverley Borough Council is currently undertaking substantial, self-funded investment in its Ockford Ridge estate, in Godalming, Surrey. The next phase, known as Site A (141-162 Ockford Ridge) of this social housing investment is ready to be brought forward. A selection questionnaire will be issued to asses bidders competency, capacity and experience, this will need to be completed and returned, at which point it will be evaluated, a short list of contractors will at that point be invited to tender.
