Tender description

Monaghan County Council is seeking to establish a multi party framework agreement for Minor Bridge replacement/Bridge Repair Works within County Monaghan. Contractors will be shortlisted on the basis of the suitability assessment questionnaire and may be invited to tender for a number of minor bridge replacement/bridge repair contracts within County Monaghan for the duration that the framework is in place. The framework will be established for a period of three (2) years with an option to extend for two one (1) year periods. For the avoidance of doubt, the period for delivery of any contracts awarded under the framework may extend beyond that date of expiry of the framework agreement. The maximum estimated value of Bridge/Engineering works on an annual basis is in the region of €5,000 to €500,000 (ex VAT). The framework will be established with up to eight (8) economic operators, subject to the receipt of a sufficient number of valid tenders. Each contract will involve either minor bridge replacement works or minor repair works on regional and local roads within County Monaghan. Works may include but not limited to the following; • Bridge replacement • Masonry repair and repointing replacement (using lime mortar) • Scour repair works; • Installation of Tie Bars; • Grouting; • Bridge Strengthening works • Precast unit installation • Parapet repair/replacement; • Water management; • Vegetation Clearance; • Resurfacing and associated works; • Vehicle restraint installation/repair/replacement • Associated Traffic Management.
