Southend-on-Sea Borough Council (the “Council”) is seeking to bring together a suitably experienced and qualified Contractor to take forward the construction of a new care home and day centre, including landscaping, access roads and car parking, along with the demolition of the existing care home on the site currently occupied by the Priory School in Burr Hill Chase in Southend-on-Sea. Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is a Unitary Authority serving a population of approx. 181 100 residents. The Council is located approximately 40 miles east of London, situated north of the River Thames. The Council’s vision is to deliver good quality new facilities including: — A new 60 bedroom dementia friendly residential care home — A new Learning Disability Day Care Centre Facility with capacity for 45 clients. Southend-on-Sea Borough Council (the “Council”) is seeking to bring together a suitably experienced and qualified Contractor to take forward the construction of a new care home and day centre, including landscaping, access roads and car parking, along with the demolition of the existing care home on the site currently occupied by the Priory School in Burr Hill Chase in Southend-on-Sea, under a JCT Standard Building Contract With Quantities, 2016 Edition. Project is split into the following 3 sections: Section 1 — Enabling Works and Car Parking for Priory House Completion date: 15.5.2019 Section 2 — Construction of New Care Home and Day Centre, Partial Landscaping Completion date: 31.3.2020 Section 3 — Demolition of Priory House and Final Landscaping Completion date: 24.7.2020 Quantity and nature of works is as set out in the tender documents.
