Tender description

The purpose of this Invitation to Tender is to establish a Framework Agreement for the provision of minor highway maintenance, for small patching works. The framework will be known as TC971 and will awarded to 1 service provider per lot. The framework period will be for 24 months, with provision to be extended for up to 2 further years, commencing January 2019. The works comprise of Small Patching to permanently repair carriageways and footways, minor lining reinstatement if patching works have disturbed markings, localised minor adjustment of associated ironwork where patching works have taken place. There will also be a 2nd Lot included for the provision of Jet Patching Repairs. A relatively small proportion of the work may be carried out off-peak and at weekend. The location of these highway repairs is principally within the City of Manchester, but they can be anywhere within Greater Manchester and will be on any classification of road. The scope of the works will be to provide spray injection patching on the Manchester City Council road network. Highways Directorate provide a reactive service to the highway network, which includes repairing potholes in the footway and carriageway within the Manchester area.
