Tender description
The Mine Countermeasures and Hydrographic Capability (MHC) Project Team works within the Ships Domain of the Defence Equipment and Support organisation to deliver autonomous maritime capability to the Royal Navy. This Stakeholder Engagement Briefing notice is issued to invite all companies involved with or interested in the provision of maritime autonomous systems to hear about the current status of the MHC project and proposed future plans. This event will provide an opportunity to test and understand market appetite, capability and innovation and thereby help inform potential future procurement activities. This event will also present the opportunity for further interaction within and across industry suppliers. Market engagement: The Stakeholder Briefing event will be held on 16.10.2018 at Abbey Wood, Bristol and will commence at 9:30 hrs. It is anticipated that the event will conclude by lunch-time. The MHC Project team invites all parties interested in attending this event to submit an expression of interest (EOI), advising the name(s) and email address(es) of those wishing to attend by no later than 12:00 hrs on 9.10.2018 to: DESShipsWSpt-MHC-Team@mod.gov.uk. Please include “MHC Stakeholder Briefing” in the email subject line. MHC will respond to all EOIs to confirm specific attendees and finalise event details. Space at this event is limited and subject to the extent of interest, MHC reserves the right to allocate places so as to ensure the broadest representation from those wishing to attend. (Please note, EOIs must be sent from a company e-mail address; EOIs sent from personal e-mail addresses will not be accepted). Caveat: In holding this Briefing Event, the Authority is not committing to conduct any procurement in relation to the MHC project. Furthermore, non-participation in this event will not preclude involvement in any such future event or any future procurement activities.
