Tender description
Merseyrail Electrics 2002 Ltd (Merseyrail) is currently delivering various projects across the Network ranging from large schemes station rebuilds, lift installations to small schemes covering booking office refurbishments. For Merseyrail to deliver these works we already have to carry out an individual tender process for each project which is costly from a time perspective. So to assist us moving forward we will be looking to create a Contractors Framework for Construction Works. Lot 1 — Works within the value range of 0 — 100 000 GBP. It is envisaged that this will encompass defect repairs, minor refurbishments and potential enhancements across the network. Works may include the following: i) Internal works to station infrastructure including refurbishment of booking offices, renewal of heating systems, rewiring, asbestos removal/encapsulation; ii) Works to common parts of station infrastructure including refurbishment of staircases, landings and entrance lobbies, renewal of communal water services and communal heating systems; iii) Works to the exterior of buildings of both traditional and non-traditional construction including structural repairs to the fabric, renewal of roof and balcony coverings, over cladding, renewal of windows and exterior doors, installation of door entry systems, renewal of above and below ground drainage; iv) Extensions including provision of prefabricated pod units; and v) Estate works including estate lighting improvements, refurbishment of outbuildings, upgrading of hard and soft surfaces, upgrading of access for the disabled. Lot 2 — Works within the value range of 100 000 GBP — 1m GBP. It is envisaged that this will encompass medium sized schemes such as lift installations, booking office refurbishments, station and car park refurbishments. Works may include the following: i) Internal works to station infrastructure including refurbishment of booking offices, renewal of heating systems, rewiring, asbestos removal/encapsulation; ii) Works to common parts of station infrastructure including refurbishment of staircases, landings and entrance lobbies, renewal of communal water services and communal heating systems, refurbishment of passenger lifts, installation of new lifts, construction of new carpark, Constructions of new stations or platform rebuilds/refurbishments; iii) Works to the exterior of buildings of both traditional and non-traditional construction including structural repairs to the fabric, renewal of roof and balcony coverings, overcladding, renewal of windows and exterior doors, installation of door entry systems, renewal of above and below ground drainage; iv) Extensions including provision of prefabricated pod units; and v) Estate works including estate lighting improvements, refurbishment of outbuildings, upgrading of hard and soft surfaces, upgrading of access for the disabled Lot 3 — Works with the value of over 1m GBP. It is envisaged that this will encompass large schemes such as new station design and build, station enhancements and lifts etc. Works may include the following: i) Internal works to station infrastructure including refurbishment of booking offices, renewal of heating systems, rewiring, asbestos removal/encapsulation; ii) Works to common parts of station infrastructure including refurbishment of staircases, landings and entrance lobbies, renewal of communal water services and communal heating systems, refurbishment of passenger lifts, installation of new lifts, construction of new carpark, Constructions of new stations or platform rebuilds/refurbishments; iii) Works to the exterior of buildings of both traditional and non-traditional construction including structural repairs to the fabric, renewal of roof and balcony coverings, overcladding, renewal of windows and exterior doors, installation of door entry systems, renewal of above and below ground drainage; iv) Extensions including provision of prefabricated pod units; and v) Estate works including estate lighting improvements, refurbishment of outbuildings, upgrading of hard and soft surfaces, upgrading of access for the disabled.
