In Dec 15 SWBH NHS Trust signed a PF2 contract with the Hospital Company (Sandwell) Ltd to design, fund, build and maintain a new acute hospital in Smethwick – The Midland Metropolitan Hospital. In Jan 18 The Hospital Company (Sandwell) Ltd.’s construction contractor (Carillion Construction Ltd) were liquidated.The Trust has now received approval in principle to conduct a public sector procurement to complete the construction works.We wish to market test interest in the scheme and engage experienced acute hospital contractors on the proposed procurement methodology the Trust currently anticipates inc. a phase of competitive dialogue and an NEC4 form of contract. We propose to hold an event at the MMH hospital site on the 11th Oct at 10:00 am for 2 hours to explain the proposals. Interested parties who attend the event may arrange for a separate session with the Trust during Oct — we envisage these being phone calls or MTGS of circa half hr.
