Completion works at Victoria Business Park Biddulph Staffordshire

Tender description

Staffordshire Moorlands District Council wish to invite tenders from suitable organisations to deliver completion works at Victoria Business Park in Biddulph Staffordshire. The Victoria Business Park occupies the site of a former deep pit colliery and opencast site. The colliery ceased production in 1982, then the site was opencast at a depth of up to 65m between 1988 & 1994. Remediation of the site commenced in 1993 and outline permission for industrial development was granted in 2000. Under a Joint Venture agreement between Staffordshire Moorlands District Council and Advantage West Midlands (now the Homes & Communities Agency), the site access roads and infrastructure were constructed but not completed. Most of the site is now occupied and the Council is obliged to carry out the completion of the roads to enable adoption by Staffordshire County Council. WYG Engineering Ltd. have been appointed to design, manage and supervise the completion works. The works are to include new lighting ducts and replacement lighting, resurfacing, replacement of kerbs and tactile paving, installation of new drop kerbs, replacement of some road signage and topsoiling & seeding to verges.
