Tender description

This tender is for advisors to market and sell newly built or acquired properties on behalf of the Oxford Housing Development Company. The key services are: 1) Contribute advice on design and specification; 2) Sales and marketing, up to the completion of the sale; 3) Advice on sales values. Oxford City Housing Limited (OCHL) was established by Oxford City Council in June 2016 as a wholly owned company limited by shares in order to deliver additional housing in Oxford, recognising the particularly high need in the area and the unaffordability of the local housing market. A development programme of over 200 homes is underway. In March 2018 Oxfordshire signed a housing and growth deal with the Government focused on the delivery of additional homes in the county. OCHL wish to appoint sales and marketing agents to manage the sale of newly built or acquired properties for 4 years including shared ownership properties. Anticipated first tranche of sites in scope for the contract include: Warren Crescent circa 10 units Cumberlege Close c. 10 units Harts Close c. 2 units Rose Hill Advice Centre c. 20 units Rose Hill Community Centre c. 25 units Elsfield Hall c. 26 units Between Towns Road c. 45 units Underhill Circus c. 35 units Lucy Faithfull House c 40 units Only a proportion of these homes will be sold on the open market or via shared ownership dependent upon Planning and viability issues – the affordable housing target for Oxford is 50 % and it is OCHL’s intention to meet and sometimes exceed that where possible. Submissions should reflect this. Further sites will be progressed as they are identified and advice will be needed on those covering the same issues of value, specification and marketing.
