The London Borough of Sutton is exploring ambitious plans for the regeneration of its housing estates in and around Sutton town centre. The programme presents one of the most significant development opportunities in the borough and will play an important role in enabling housing growth and transforming the town centre. Resident engagement is an integral part of estate regeneration. In taking plans forward, the Council is committed to ensuring that its residents are fully engaged and informed in the process and at the heart of decision making on the future of their homes. To support this approach, the Council wishes to commission an Independent Tenant & Homeowner Adviser (ITHA) to work with residents and the Council to strengthen community involvement and to provide a comprehensive independent and impartial advice service for tenants and homeowners. London Borough of Sutton would like to gain an insight into the practicality, capacity, feasibility and deliverability of this project from the experts in the market. The council is therefore inviting all providers to participate in this soft market testing exercise to refine the specification for this commission. Sutton Council will use the information gathered during this soft market testing exercise to inform the final specification. All providers are asked to firstly review the DRAFT ITHA Specification and then provide answers to the questions asked. A soft market testing event for this commission is also scheduled for Thursday 13th September 2018 between 9.00am and 5.00pm at the London Borough of Sutton Council Offices, Denmark Road, Carshalton, SM5 2JG.
