Ipswich Borough Council provides a range of services to the residents of Ipswich from refuse collection to sport and leisure facilities. The Council delivers its Housing repairs service via an in-house team, with approximately 22 500 day to day repairs and 2 600 Out of Hours emergency repairs completed over a 12 month period. As part of our ongoing commitment to deliver an outstanding level of service. This procurement will award a contract for, for external contractors in support of our in-house teams in the delivery of repairs, voids and improvement works. This will be primarily to: — support the Council’s direct delivery teams during busier times, — deliver larger repair, improvement works and void works where the council does not have sufficient capacity or outsourcing of the work provides better value for money, — provide greater flexibility to meet customer demand for responsive repairs and refurbish empty properties as quickly as possible. Responsive maintenance (including emergency works ordered during Normal Working Hours and Out of Hours emergency works, void property works and Insurance works. Estimated annual value: 680 000 GBP per year. Disabled adaptations works including flush floor showers 150 000 GBP per year. The maintenance, repair and improvement of its properties in support of its in-house maintenance teams to meet its mechanical and electrical repair obligations as a landlord. Estimated annual value: 300 000 GBP per year. Periodic servicing and inspections, routine and responsive maintenance, repair and improvement of lifts, stair lifts and other disability hoists, located within its Properties to meet its repairing obligations as a landlord. Estimated annual value: 120 000 GBP per year.
