Chimney Conservation Works - Archways

Expressions of interest invited for chimney conservation works as part of the Archway Project, Bath. The Archway Project has completed RIBA Plan of Work 2013 Stage 4 (Technical Design) and is now in the process of tendering for a main contractor. In preparation for the main scheme we require repair and conservation works to be carried on the chimney of the old laundry’s boiler house. These works will be prior to the commencement of the main contract. A roped access survey of the chimney was carried out in August 2015 by Sally Strachey Historic Conservation. A condition and recommendation report was produced along with a schedule of repairs. In line with these recommendations, the successful contractor will be required to undertake repair and conservation works on the chimney of The Old Boiler House, Swallow Street in early autumn 2018. Rope access likely to be required. Suppliers must be verified on Constructionline. We will be sending out an invitation to quote to three suppliers in September 2018, with a view to starting work in October 2018. Keywords: Conservation Works, Chimney
