Tender description

The City of London Corporation (the City) invites Tenders for the provision of new residential units and associated maintenance and repair works at George Elliston and Eric Wilkins Houses. Repair and maintenance works to cover roofs, brickwork, windows, door lintels, rainwater goods, decorating and lifts. New works to include the provision of new entrance area on the ground floor between the blocks, provision of 4 Nº new infill dwellings on the 1st to 4th floors between the blocks and provision of 9 Nº new dwellings constructed on the roofs of both blocks. The City of London has received Planning permission from the London Borough of Southwark on 9.11.2017 to construct 13 new flats (4 1-bed, 7 2-bedroom and 2 3-bedroom). The work will also include roof repair and window replacement. The existing blocks consist of 65 flats of which 15 are held under long leases.
