Remedial Works to Public Lighting, IDA Industrial Estate, Waterford.

Tender description

The alternations to the public lighting network of Waterford Industrial Estate includes – but is not limited to- the following: i. Civil works to include cutting of existing road, the majority of which is concrete, the cutting of existing footpaths and kerbs, and the disposal of all waste material to an approved licenced waste facility. ii. Laying of new ducting and cables to supply 19no. existing public lighting columns. A 3-phase supply will be fed to each pole and connected via existing Lucy Connection Blocks. The required cable to feed the mini pillar and micro pillars will be 3x16 swa and the poles will be fed via 5x6 swa cable. iii. Installation of 2no. new micro pillars and 1no. new mini pillar to all current ESB requirements and regulations. Each of these micro pillars and mini pillar must have a photocell. iv. Removal of 1no. existing lamp standard to an approved licensed waste facility and replaced with similar lamp standard. The existing light fitting is to be reused. v. Reinstatement of all trenches and kerbs. The line marking will also be reinstated. vi. Traffic Management for the entire scheme including all required diversion and traffic warning signs for both pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Note that all entrances to existing IDA client lands are to be kept live at all time. vii. Various ancillary Works. viii. Notwithstanding the above the full scope of the Works and the obligations of the Contractor shall be ascertained by reference to the Contract Documents as a whole.
