***Please note this is only a request for expressions of interest from contractors with relevant experience and capacity at this time.*** Cumbria County Council and Carlisle City Council are developing plans for a new Garden Village to the south of Carlisle. Details on this project can be found http://www.stcuthbertsgv.co.uk/ . As part of the project there is a need for a new road to facilitate the Garden Village and to relieve congestion in and around Carlisle, this new road is called Carlisle Southern Link Road (CSLR). As part of the business case Cumbria County Council are required to provide evidence that contractors with relevant experience and capability are interested in tendering for the construction of the CSLR.
